FOR KOR Chochim editorial team · October 31, 2026

Written as of October 31, 2026. We could not check this year's official visitor pages directly, so dates, prices and sales method follow major Korean news reports based on the organizer's announcements (Electronic Times, Inven, Digital Daily and others). Daily opening hours, purchase limits, whether tickets are date-specific, the sale end date and free-admission rules for 2026 could not be confirmed. Last year's (2025) official rules are shown separately for reference.

Every November, BEXCO in Busan's Haeundae fills with gamers. This year Korea's biggest game show, G-STAR 2026, runs November 19 (Thu) to 22 (Sun). The key point first: you cannot buy tickets at the door. Admission is sold 100% in advance, and sales opened on September 29 at 3 p.m. KST.

What G-STAR is

G-STAR began in November 2005 at KINTEX in Goyang, moved to BEXCO in Busan in 2009 and is organized by the Korea Association of Game Industry; 2026 is the 22nd edition. Its record year was the 20th edition in 2024: 1,375 companies from 44 countries, 3,359 booths and about 215,000 visitors, according to reports. In 2025 it had 3,269 booths and about 202,000 visitors. BEXCO opened in May 2001 and added its second exhibition hall in June 2012.

Why advance sales only

G-STAR switched to 100% advance ticket sales in 2023, so 2026 is the fourth year. Selling ahead lets the organizer control daily crowds and spares visitors early-morning lines; in 2025 entry was also split into time slots, YTN reported. The trade-off is that there is no walk-up option, so make sure everyone in your group has a ticket.

Exhibitors and sponsors

  • Main sponsor: Crack, the AI story platform from Wrtn Technologies, the first non-game company in that role (NCSoft was 2025's main sponsor).
  • Hall 1 large booths: Crack, Krafton, HoYoverse, Google Play, Webzen and Team42, each with 100+ booths. Nexon, NCSoft and Netmarble are not running large public booths this year, per reports.
  • Global Game Showcase (Hall 2): SEGA, Koei Tecmo, NetEase and CD PROJEKT RED; Capcom joined on October 20 with about 35 booths.
  • Indie showcase: 114 companies as of an October 28 report.
  • Esports: The OWCS Asia Stage 3 Grand Finals run Nov 20-22 at the BEXCO Auditorium; ticket holders also get same-day entry to the public halls, per reports.

Buying tickets and the Special Pass

Regular tickets are sold on the official G-STAR website and app at 18,000 won (adult) and 8,000 won (youth). Check remaining availability by date and the sale end date on the official page. A Special Pass bundling admission with "Yumi's Cells" collaboration goods and a KREAM voucher was sold at an early-bird price at the Pangyo pop-up store (Sept 1-6) and on KREAM from September 7.
