Privacy policy
Chochim (chochim.com) values your privacy and complies with Korea's Personal Information Protection Act and related laws. This policy explains what information Chochim handles and how.
1. Information we handle
Chochim has no account registration and does not directly collect information that identifies you, such as your name, contact details or national ID number. The following may be processed while providing the service.
- Server time requests: the site address you enter or select. Used only for measurement and not stored.
- Country of access: used at country level to show trending searches for your region. Not stored.
- Access logs: Cloudflare, which hosts the site, may process IP addresses, browser information and access times for security and reliability.
- Inquiry emails: if you contact us, your email address and message. Used only to reply.
2. Information stored in your browser
Your theme, language, countdown target time and best duel score are stored only in your browser's local storage (localStorage) and are not sent to Chochim's servers. Clearing your browser's site data deletes them.
3. Advertising and cookies
Chochim shows ads through Google AdSense.
- Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to Chochim or other websites.
- Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on your visits to Chochim and/or other sites on the internet.
- You can opt out of personalized advertising in Google Ads Settings, and opt out of third-party vendors' cookies for personalized advertising at www.aboutads.info.

You can refuse cookies in your browser settings. Chochim's basic features still work if you do.
4. External data
Trending searches use aggregated public data from Google Trends. We do not pass your information to this service.
5. Retention and deletion
Chochim does not store measurement requests or country information. Inquiry emails are deleted promptly once answered, unless the law requires keeping them for a set period.
6. Sharing with third parties
Chochim does not provide your information to third parties except when required by law.
7. Children's information
Chochim does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 14.

If this policy changes, we will post it on this page with the effective date. If this English version differs from the Korean original, the Korean version prevails.
