Getting Korean Series tickets: from the day before to game day
This guide reflects information as of October 19, 2026. The Korean Series opponent and booking schedule are set after the playoffs end. Always check the KBO and NOL Ticket notices before booking.
Korean Series tickets are the hardest baseball tickets to get all year. There are few games, fans of both teams pile in, and games with the title on the line draw people who don't usually watch baseball. This follows our KBO playoff ticket guide and covers what makes the Korean Series different and how to approach it.
2026 Korean Series basics
- Starts: November 2
- Format: best of seven; the first team to win four games takes the title.
- Matchup: regular-season champion kt wiz vs the playoff winner
- Where to buy: sold only through NOL (Yanolja) Ticket, up to four tickets per person
The stadium depends on the game
The regular-season champion hosts Games 1, 2, 6 and 7, and the playoff winner hosts Games 3, 4 and 5.

If Samsung wins the playoffs, Games 3–5 are in Daegu. If the team that came through the semi-playoff also wins the playoffs, they're at that team's home stadium.
Understand "if necessary" games
Because it's a best-of-seven, Games 5, 6 and 7 may never be played. If one team wins four straight, there's no Game 5 onward. These are called "if necessary" games.
- Upside: competition is usually lighter than for Games 1 and 2, so your odds of booking are better.
- Downside: if the series ends early, your ticket is cancelled. Refund methods and timing follow NOL Ticket's notice, so check before booking.
- Jackpot: if it goes to Game 7, you'll see the title decided in person.
If you're traveling for an away game, remember that lodging and transport are "if necessary" too. Since the game might not happen, refundable lodging is the safe bet.
Booking-day strategy
1. Choose your target game
Game 1 opens the series and is the most fiercely contested. If your goal is simply to experience the Korean Series live rather than a specific game, "if necessary" or away games are more realistic.
2. Check the opening time for each game
This fall's wild card and semi-playoff sales both opened at 2 p.m. But sales sometimes open at different times for each game, so check the notice for your game and set your countdown.
3. Enter once, in time with the server clock
Sales open by NOL Ticket's server clock. Keep Chochim's NOL / Interpark Ticket server time on screen and click 0.1–0.3 seconds after the hour. If a queue appears, don't refresh; wait. The principle is explained in What is server time?
4. Don't hesitate on seats
Seats vanish while you deliberate. If your first-choice section is gone, move straight to the second. If you're going with someone, aiming for "the same section" rather than adjacent seats raises your chances.
If you missed out: game-day box office
Tickets freed up by cancellations are sold at that stadium's box office from two hours before the first pitch. In addition, people aged 65 or over (born before January 1, 1962), people with disabilities and foreigners can buy one ticket per person at the box office on game day, with ID, a disability registration or welfare card, or a passport respectively.
Don't buy or sell scalped tickets
Penalties for ticket scalping were sharply strengthened on August 28, 2026. Under amendments to Korea's Performance Act and National Sports Promotion Act, scalping is now punishable whether or not a macro was used; previously only macro use could be punished.
- Illegal purchase: buying tickets for resale by bypassing or interfering with the official booking process
- Illegal sale: habitually or commercially selling or brokering tickets above the purchase price without the seller's consent
- Penalties: up to one year in prison or a fine of up to 10 million won, plus a surcharge of up to 50 times the sale amount for illegal sales
People who report violations can receive a reward. A one-off private sale at a markup may not be punishable, but such deals often involve scams where money is taken and no ticket is sent. Use official sellers and the box office.
